What are Key Instant Recall Facts?
Key Instant Recall Facts (KIRFs) are important to help your child develop their fluency and mental maths knowledge. KIRFs help to support the instant recall of key mathematical facts and information.
The instant recall of mathematical facts helps children enormously within maths lessons across the school, especially when they move onto using written methods. For your child to become efficient in recalling these, the facts need to be practised frequently and for a short period of time.
Every half term, your child will be provided with a different KIRF sheet to be practised and learnt at home. Please find the relevant KIRFs per year group for this term below.
