New Reception Children 2024

A huge welcome to St Chad’s Patchway C of E Primary School

We are looking very much forward to being able to welcome our new Reception children into our school from September 2024.  This page will constantly be being updated with further information, resources and dates for your diary.   We will strive to ensure that the transition for your child is a smooth one as they begin their learning journey with us at St Chad’s.

New to EYFS 2024 :  Follow the attached letter to find out important transition events taking place for your child before they start school at St Chad’s in September.

Important Dates for Transition Events 

Please return the slip from the letter to the school office highlighting which of the transition events you will be attending.

17th June 2024 – Stay and Play (with 1 parent) from 1:30pm – 2:15pm

17th June 2024 – Welcome Meeting for parents / carers from 5pm – 6pm

28th June 2024 – Transition paperwork to be into the school before 3:30pm

1st July 2024 – Stay and Play (child only) from 4pm – 4:45pm

10th July 2024 – Stay and Play (child only) from 9:30am – 10:15pm

 
Important Dates for September 2024

Monday 2nd /Tuesday 3rd September –

The class teachers will host 10 minute 1:1 meetings with each family (a chance to meet the teachers face-to-face, see the classroom and ask any questions). You’ll be able to sign up for a meeting at the Welcome meeting on 17th June.

4th, 5th and 6th September

9:10am – 11:30am – Children in Cabot and Brunel House to attend school.

1pm – 3:20pm – Children in Banksy and Wesley House to attend school.

Week Commencing 9th September – All children to be in school for the morning and lunchtime (9:10 – 12:30pm)

Week Commencing 16th September – All children to be in school full time.

Tuesday 17th September – A Reception Curriculum Evening for parents / carers only from 5pm – 6pm.  More details about this will follow.

 
Invite to Class Dojo

Please look out for an email invite to Class Dojo so that you can communicate with the class teachers and view examples of work.

We would appreciate it if you could complete the data collection form and hand it back in to school as soon as possible please.
